The Leoneck Hotel is a three star property, opened in 1935. It is housed in a symmetrical, 6-storey, red brick and concrete building with balconies in the centre of the façade. The lobby features a cowhide-covered reception desk and edelweiss-print curtains, perfectly preparing guests for the way in which this budget hotel wallows in its Swiss roots. In each of the 78 compact guestrooms you will find pine furniture and charming mural paintings: so called "trompe-l'oeil" creations from a well-known Zurich artist showing traditional Alpine scenes. Continuing the garish Swiss theme, the hotel’s restaurant, "Crazy Cow", is decorated with milk cans, miniature Matterhorns, and replica black-and-white cows.
