This property is an interesting, "Bauhaus" designed building with a white facade and huge windows, which is under state protection due to its auspicious design. The medium sized lobby is in immaculate condition and attractively appointed in a light and fresh modern style. Also in exceptional condition, the 66 guestrooms feature ultra modern fixtures, fittings and furniture. Each room adheres to the "theme" of a different famous person who was from, or lived in Zurich at some time (including James Joyce and Carl Jung), and each has its own hand painted mural dedicated to that person's profession. The restaurant is a particularly interesting feature of the hotel, being also fully renovated in original "Bauhaus" style. It is light and airy with massive windows and split-level polished wood flooring. The menu offers both regional specialities and international cuisine. Other features include a bar and lounge where guests can enjoy drinks before or after dinner.
