The hotel is located at the heart of Zurich's old town, a short distance from the world-famous Bahnhofstrasse. It has excellent public transport connections and there are also two parking buildings nearby. There are several tram lines that go directly to the main railway station (Nos. 3/5/7/15).

The Sorell Hotel Rütli is housed in a traditional building, which blends in well with the architecture of the surrounding area. The lobby is small and modern. The 66 medium sized guestrooms are appointed in a crisp modern style with up-to-date furniture and neutral décor. Both the rooms and the en suite bathrooms are in very good condition. The hotel offers a rich Continental buffet every morning in the bright, welcoming breakfast room, which is located on the ground floor. Though there is no restaurant on the premises, the management suggests the attractive Designer Bar in the nearby Sorell Hotel Seefeld for snacks. At lunchtime, it specialises in soups and traditional cold dishes. In the evening, it's the perfect place to meet for aperitifs or for a night-cap in cosy surroundings.
