The hotel is located on the outskirts of Zurich in front of a large shopping complex and next to Oerlikon railway station. There is regular transport to the main railway station which is a 5/10 minute drive away.

The Swissôtel Zürich is an imposing, 32-storey concrete and glass property, which towers over the surrounding shopping centre. The large, modern lobby is well furnished and offers ample leather seating. The 347 medium sized guestrooms are decorated in bright, summery colours and are equipped with a range of amenities aimed as business travellers: an oversized ergonomic work area, W-LAN Set-up, separate modem connection and ISDN line. They are clean and well maintained, as are the marble en suite bathrooms. The hotel offers a variety of dining options. "Restaurant Dialog" offers a selection of daily specials, seasonal monthly menus or à la Carte dishes and fine digestifs and cigars. "Restaurant Szenario" offers à la Carte dishes or a selection of business lunches that will delight everyone in a casual bistro-style atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy the bustling life of the nearby market square while sitting on the hotel’s summer terrace, which serves a selection of light seasonal dishes, a wide range of Mövenpick ice creams, milk shakes or a glass of wine. And lastly, the "Edison Bar" is the place where the international clientele meet for an after-work drink. Please note that as from 1 November 2007, this is an entirely non smoking hotel.
