The hotel is located high above Zurich's daily hustle and bustle, surrounded by forests and meadows. There is a hotel bus for transfers to and from the airport and a direct tram (line No. 6), which takes just a few minutes, to the main railway station and Zurich's world-famous Bahnhofstrasse.

The Zuerichberg Hotel stands on a hillside, 2 kilometres east of central Zurich. In 1994, a team of architects and entrepreneurs radically renovated a century-old, brick-sided hotel, and added a futuristic-looking annex. This modern new addition is a circular building with intricate woodworking on the exterior and a curved staircase in the interior that resembles a miniaturised version of Frank Lloyd Wright's Guggenheim Museum in New York. The 66 guestrooms vary in design, depending on whether they are in the old or new part of the property, but most feature parquet floors and crisp furnishings. In the annex, rooms radiate outward from a central, oval atrium and are decorated in deep orange and red tones. Separating the buildings are two children's playgrounds, a garden, and a warm-weather terrace. At Restaurant Kiebitz, French-influenced cuisine and international wines are features with the Zurich city as a backdrop. The Gourmet Bar Colibri offers snacks, coffees and cakes by day and aperitifs and a full bar service at night.
