The Seidenhof is an informal, friendly hotel in a superb location. I found the twin room clean and spacious and have absolutely no complaints. It is great value by Zurich prices!

The vegetarian restaurant Hiltl (round the corner from the hotel) is excellent! Check out the excellent shopping centre Sihlcity!

We were satisfied with our choice of hotel and room. I liked that breakfast was included in the room rate. However, the bedside dimmer switch was faulty so the floor light had to be plugged in and out manually. It's normal electric wall socket was loose and it's cable needed some attention at the plug end. Surprisingly there were two safes provided in our bedroom, my guess is that the original had become faulty, as its internal electronics were uncovered. It's replacement though working wasn't screwed down to a solid surface. Hopefully others staying in our room in the future wont have these problems.

would have liked some cold milk in the room for the tea/coffee. would be good if the restaurant was open on sundays. minibus service to the airport was excellent!

• Boat trips are fabulous... just walk down Bahnhofstrasse to the lake and get one from there. • Great vegetarian restaurant just round the corner from the hotel... called Hiltl. • Glockenhoff hotel nearby has a nice garden restaurant and does excellent lunches. • Great minibus service from the Seidenhof hotel to the airport

very good value for any hotel in this location. Excellent in general too, simple, but its got all you need.
